On Your Marks…
You’ve been on your phone scrolling for an hour. You ate that bag of chips even though you weren’t hungry. Everything feels dull and boring.
Sound Familiar? It sucks but we’ve all been there. Some days feel as if we are barely existing. Us being inside all day does not help this feeling of unfulfillment. The mental fog that doesn’t seem to go away. I am 99.999% positive I found a free, easy, low-effort way to erase all these problems.
Get Set…
If you haven’t guessed by now I’m talking about going for a Run. So simple but effective. To me, there is no better medicine for most problems than a run. Putting on your shoes, getting your playlist ready, and taking off for a quick mile. The physical benefits of routinely running are all positive. We all want to live a long life, but we also want to be healthy. Having a regular running routine can
Increase cardiovascular health
maintain and even lose weight
boost endurance
The best part after that is the ‘runners high’. The rush of endorphins that surge through you will make you feel like you can conquer the world!
[Raises starting gun]
The physical part of it is enough to get you up and out the door, but the other benefit is the mental conditioning that naturally accompanies running.
Now with smartphones and smartwatches killing our attention spans we are never really alone. Since I started running the main pull for me is the feeling of being truly alone with my thoughts. I’m not sucked into tiktoks addicting algorithm or the newest video game. It is just me and my mind doing each other best to not fail one another. The mental fortitude you build while getting yourself to routinely get a run in is like compound interest for your discipline. The more you put in the more you get out.
My best ideas have come from running. The courage to finally start a blog came from the confidence running has given me. I have never felt better in my life and I used to be all about athletics in high school. My body and my mind are the strongest they have ever been and they are consistently getting stronger as the days pass.
GO!
If none of the posts I’ve written have ‘stuck’ to you go ahead and give this one a try. Instead of getting home and just sitting on the couch, go and run. Start with small goals and slowly improve on them. We are meant to put our bodies through stress routinely, this idea of being comfortable 24/7 is a recent idea.

This is my 8th post in a row! I feel i’m just stating to hit my stride (no pun intended). Thanks to all of you who read these weekly letters and support it. I ain’t got any plans on stopping!
This song is Number 1 on my list of GOAT songs. This one is always in my running playlist, when I heard those trumpets go off it feels like a surge of electricity runs through my veins! Put this on and hit up the track today!
